My Education and Professional Background
Three different colleges were part of my journey to obtain a higher education. For one year, I attended Yavapai Community College on a basketball scholarship, before continuing my basketball and academic career at Scottsdale Community College. I was then fortunate enough to be offered a scholarship that would allow me to continue to play basketball and complete my bachelor's degree from Western New Mexico University. My Educational Philosophy
My favorite quote, 'A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instill a love of learning' by Brad Henry, truly encompasses the meaning of education for me. I believe that teaching is having knowledge to share and giving your time to students to help them grow and prosper academically, as well as in their personal lives.
