        Welcome Class of 2027!!

We are pleased to welcome you to PUMA NATION!!!

    Freshman Puma Families,

My name is Jeff Kain and I am the Dean of Students overseeing and supporting freshmen. We are excited that you are joining our Puma family! Perry is known for its strong community and commitment to the success of all students. I grew up in the east valley, graduating from Red Mountain High School and graduated from ASU with a degree in Education.  I started my teaching career in CUSD at Hamilton High School in 2007,  where I taught special education and was the girls varsity basketball and girls golf coach. I have spent most of my career as a special education teacher, coach, department chair and Dean of Students for other schools in the East Valley. I am also married to a CUSD teacher and have 2 daughters that have both graduated from Hamilton High School.  I am extremely excited to be back in CUSD and blessed to be a part of the Perry High School community and family.

As the Dean of Students, our freshman class is my focus and priority. Starting a high school journey can be scary and exciting. As a freshman walking onto our campus, the size, number of people, and new classes may seem intimidating, but there are many resources available to help make the transition smooth. Our caring faculty and staff are vested in supporting our students and will work hard to make each student feel welcome and a part of our family. Part of the high school experience is about challenging ourselves to try new things, building relationships, and making memories that will last a lifetime. As your student embarks on this journey, please encourage them to get involved! We have a number of clubs, teams, and organizations; there is literally something at Perry for every student.

I am looking forward to partnering with our parents and supporting our students throughout the next four years of their lives. Communication is key to this partnership; we will send out a weekly newsletter, The Paw Print, which includes many resources and valuable information. Also, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have via email or phone. Together, we will make this experience a positive and memorable one.

    Sincerely,

    Jeff Kain
