    Objectives:
    English 11 is a course focusing on American literature.  Students will study all aspects of American literature from Native American Mythology to important pieces from the 20th century.  The course of study will include novels, poetry, short stories and drama.  Literary analysis, expressive writing, argumentative techniques as well as a research paper are required.  This course will also focus on the skills necessary to master both the ACT and SAT tests.
