Wil Schommer is in his first year as the junior varsity head coach, but he has tremendous experience. The last time he wore a cardinal No. 7 jersey, he was a senior third baseman leading PHS to it's first playoff appearance, which turned into a historic run to the 5A-II state championship game. Schommer hit .429 and donned a .890 F% during his senior campaign, leading him to a productive colligate career at Austin College (TX).
Since earning his degree at AC, Schommer has coached club baseball in Texas and Ariz.. He also works as a CUSD substitute teacher and is working on his teaching degree.
