• Best Buddies @ Puma Pals:

    What is Best Buddies?

    • This year for the very first time Puma Pals will be a part of the internationsal organization Best Buddies.  Best buddies is the largest organization dedicated to ending the soical, physical, and economic isolation of the two million people with intellectual and developmental disabilites (IDD).
    • Being a part of Best Buddies now means that all pals and partners in Puma Pals will be partnered in one-to-one friendhsips.  Being in these friendships means having contact and being a part of each other's lives for more than just th eon hour we meet a week, but continuously.
    • Best buddies also hosts several events around the area such as walks, field days, dances, and more that we can now be a part of.
      • Club Fee:  $25 covers t-shirt and Best Buddies fees

  • Virtual Puma Pals:

    • Since we cannot meet in person for the foreseeable future, we will be utilizing Google Classroom and Google Meet.  Through both of these platforms, students can post and view getting to know you activities, games and video call other Best buddies through a monitored Google Meet.
    • All Best Buddies will be matched in their one-to-one friendships virtually through surveys and getting to know you activities.  Once they know their pairing they are welcome to communicate through any platform that works best for the, along with attending Best Buddies Google Meets and/or Google Classroom activities.
