"Don't kid me, Mom, I know they're my feet."-- 3 year old son, when his mother told him his shoes were on the wrong feetClassroom Phone Number:480.224.2921Ms. Maricela6:30a.m.-2:30p.m.Ms. MaricelaThe focus of any curriculum should be squarely on the child/ren. But what does that look like? What does that mean? What does that entail? Who does that include? When activities or experiences are presented to young children, we never know what they are going to do with the experience! Our curriculum allows the staff to consider alternative ways of seeing, thinking, doing, or experiencing, allowing them to recogize new learning when it emerges from the children's dialogue and play. The Innovations Comprehensive Preschool Curriculum, advocates thinking about and planning for, everything that can, by the nature of the setting, contribute to a child's development and a teacher's relationship with the child and the parent. It is a curriculum that embraces the open-ended processes of teaching and learning with young children.
For children to grow intellectually, they must feel confident in their abilities and secure in their relationships with teachers, family members and peers, The Innovations Curruculum addresses social-emotional development in a number of ways. Each day provides time and materials to experience Fine Arts, Music & Movement, Science, Social Studies, Health or Safety, Physical Development, and Personal/Social Development. These content areas are built in the days schedule through Circle Time, Group Activities, Learning Centers and any other way that the children show growth and interest for their teachers to expand on.There is so much going on with a child between 3 and 4 years old: They are becoming more social, beginning to show some problem-solving skills, their imagination is in overdrive, they start asking lots and lots of questions, understand the idea of same and different, remember parts of a story, count, and understand the concept of counting, and so much more! Our trained caregivers are ready to enhance and provide the environment needed for your child's quickly devleoping mind and body.
