• Varsity Head Coach

    Coach John Roberts will be in his seventh season (two with the boys and five with the girls) with the Pumas. He came from Higley High School, where he was the girls varsity coach from 2002-06, boys varsity coach from 2009-2012 and again the girls varsity coach in the 2012-2013 season. During that time, he has received four coach of the year awards and four region coach of the year awards while winning a state championship in 2006, as well as a state runner up in 2004, 2018 and 2019. He has been coaching soccer for 33 years at various levels including 18 years at the club level in California and Arizona. Coach Roberts holds a National “C” license. 

    He has coached teams to numerous league, division and section titles, two state titles in club and three state runners up appearances at the club level. He is a nationally certified coach and he is blessed to have coached numerous national team players and collegiate level players.  


    Varsity Assistant Coach

    Coach Kete Meskill is entering his seventh season with the Pumas. Kete spent the first two years as a program volunteer assistant. Kete is a local product of soccer playing for clubs around the valley and graduating from Basha High School in 2008. He was a key part of the Bears only semifinalist finish in 2007 State Championships. He is active in club soccer, working with multiple teams at the youth development level. Kete has been fortunate enough to be a finalist and state champion as an Assistant Coach over the past few years.


    Junior Varsity A Coach


    Coach Kim Rygiel is entering her sixth year at Perry as a soccer coach and English teacher. Under her direction, the JV team went 12-0 last season, outscoring their opponents 78-4. She has coached both in Arizona and in her home state of California at the high school level. In her own career, Oltmanns is a product of Slammers FC in Newport Beach, CA, where she was a part of a nationally ranked and state champion team. During her collegiate years, she played at the community college level and Division 1 at St. Mary’s College of California. Transferring to Arizona State, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education-English and continues to share her passion for both teaching and coaching here at Perry.
