Welcome to 8th Grade Science!
Ms. Heilner began her teaching career in the Mesa District at Rhodes Junior High. After two years in the Mesa District, Ms. Heilner moved to the Chandler District and began teaching at Santan Junior High.

My Education and Professional Background
Upon graduating from Dobson High School in Mesa, Ms. Heilner studied for her undergraduate degree in education & biology from Northern Arizona University. She graduated in 2002. Ms. Heilner went back to school to earn her Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction in 2007; also from Northern Arizona University.
My Educational Philosophy
Ms. Heilner's goal for all students is to succeed in her classroom. In order to accomplish this, Ms. Heilner insists that students play an active role in their science education. Students who are willing to open their minds to science will gain the most knowledge.
