Hello and welcome! I was born and raised in Arizona.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education. I started teaching Middle School Social Studies in 2013. Besides teaching during this time I have also coached baseball, student council, and created curriculum maps at my previous assignment.
My Educational Philosophy
As a Social Studies teacher it is my personal mission to stimulate student's natural curiosity concerning the world around them. I strongly believe it is important to give them front row seats to their education and learn about the past the same way as professional historians. My goal is to increase their awareness about the world around them and how the past impacts our lives today. As a result, I firmly believe they will emerge better equipped as citizens and leaders in the 21st century.
