¡Bienvenidos al sitio web de la Señora Dant!
My Education and Professional Background
I earned my bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State College where I double majored in education and Spanish. I lived abroad in Santiago, Chile for one semester and studied at the Universidad de Andrés Bello. I enjoy traveling and realized that I could combine traveling with volunteering so during my college summers I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Georgia, California, and Mexico, then later with the Rocky Mountain Youth Corp in New Mexico. After I graduated from college I traveled to Europe and met up with some of the friends I had made through my volunteer work. Russia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy and Turkey were all places I visited that summer. When I think back to those 8 weeks in Europe, I realize how much of an appreciation I gained for other cultures. I taught middle school for five years in Massachusetts and in the meantime earned a Master's of Education from Cambridge College.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that in high school you create habits that you will take with you for the rest of your life. I encourage my students to be curious, persistent problem-solvers and critical thinkers while also collaborating with others and taking initiative.
