About
May...
Hello students! Welcome to Mr. May’s classes! I am excited to have so many students in the course this semester. I've put together a lot of interesting course materials and activities, and I hope everyone enjoys their experience in my class. I look forward to working with everyone throughout the semester.
My Education and Professional Background
I attended the University of Arizona and obtained my Bachelors of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology. Afterwards, I attended Arizona State University – West campus to receive my teacher training and more courses in other biological sciences. In 2009, I attended Arizona State University – main campus and obtained my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. In 2015-2016, I attended Grand Canyon University and obtained 20 graduate credits in Chemistry. I have taught sciences for 13 years. I am well versed in Chemistry, Biology, and Physical Sciences.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all students are capable of learning and achieving at a high level. As long as we all work together to support the student and give them every opportunity to demonstrate mastery of concepts, students will rise to the occasion and be successful.
