    My Education and Professional Background

    Originally from Washington state, I attended Chase Middle School and Joel E. Ferris High School. I graduated from Washington State University with my Bachelors in History and later on received my Master's In Teaching for Secondary Education. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    History is not just about memorization and remembering facts but instead developing critical thinking skills and understanding the interconnected nature of historical events.

    I am incredibly passionate about history and want to build a foundation of learning for all my students. Even if history is not their favorite subject by the end of my class I hope to equip them with the tools to be able to critically analyze history, develop and understand current events, and writing skills that will take them well beyond my class.

    Students will be interacting with key concepts, primary and secondary sources along with current events to understand just how amazing history is! I cannot wait to get started!
