About
Schaffer...
My name is Mr. Schaffer and I teach 8th grade social studies. This year you will learn about the important documents that established the foundation of our country, micro and macroeconomics and U.S. history from World War II to the modern era.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Business and Communication. I also earned an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from Arizona State University.
My Educational Philosophy
It's been said that the subject of history is dry as dust. My goal is to pull the events and characters from the pages of the textbook and humanize the stories. I want students to draw from the past and find connections to current events and even moments from their own lives.
The Choice is Yours! Why Choose AJHS?
