    Welcome to the spirit-line and dance department! I am excited to have the opportunity to work with all of our Knights on campus :)

    My Education and Professional Background

    Dannis Zazueta has spent most of her professional career specializing in building, teaching and mentoring dance curriculums. In 2018 she was inducted as a dance coach into the Mountain View High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame. While at MVHS, Dannis led her dance teams to over 16 State and National titles. As a result she was recognized as one of the Top 20 Outstanding High School Dance Programs in the country from 2009-2011 as well as a West Coast finalist for NHSACA National Coach of the Year in Dance in 2012 and 2015.

    Dannis and her students have a broad range of achievements such as: Alvin Ailey professional and youth dance scholarships, YAGP Ballet/ Contemporary Gold Medal distinction winners awarded at the Kennedy Center, Super Bowl XXX, Finalists for "So You Think You Can Dance”, Professional work for Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, SIA, NIKE, Honda, the Rockettes, NBA, College and World teams just to name a few.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Dannis loves being able to mentor others, whether by teaching lessons that apply to the classroom or more importantly lessons that apply to life. She feels her greatest joy and blessing in life has been to be the the mother of her two sons, who have shared her with many.
