My name is Wendy Umbrianna. I am so excited to be apart of an established High School choir program! I am looking forward to getting to know CHS students, families, and the community. I am an "almost" native of Arizona, spending all of my academic years in this beautiful state. My parents and grandparents played a major role in my early music education. The piano was my primary instrument, engaging in high-performance levels through high school and college before switching to conducting and voice.
I live in Chandler and love it! I have an amazingly supportive husband and 2 beautiful children. We have a 7th-grade son and 4th-grade daughter. I hope to be the best example I can be for them in the Chandler community. I enjoy spending time with my family, staying physically active, learning, teaching, singing, and VACATIONS! Our family loves National Parks, we have family in Maine and had the incredible opportunity to visit Acadia National Park to witness the diverse landscape and breathtaking views. We look forward to planning our visit to Montana in the future to experience Glacier National Park.
Teaching Experience: This is my 18th year teaching choir in public schools. Prior to teaching at Chandler High, I was the choir director at Santan and Payne junior highs in Chandler. I was a High School Choir Director in the Tempe and Gilbert schools before taking a short leave to start our family.
