    Chandler High School is part of a grant program through the GOYFF. The Arizona HSHW drug and alcohol drug prevention program want to raise awareness, educate and influence behavior around:

    • Underage drinking

    • Marijuana use

    • Prescription drug misuse and abuse among high school youth


    After the Fall break we will be going into the PE classes to teach 10 courses through The LifeSkills Training. LifeSkills Training is a school-based program that aims to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana use and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors that promote the initiation of substance use and other risky behaviors. The course overview will be the following:

    • Value of Good Health

    • Decision-Making for Health

    • Risk-Taking and Substance Abuse

    • Media and Health

    • Managing Stress, Anger, and Other Emotions

    • Family Communications

    • Healthy Relationships
