    Welcome!

I moved here in 2014 from Rochester, NY where I was a Biology teacher for eight years at an all-girls Catholic school. From a young age, I have loved science! So, after a few career changes, I became a science teacher. I hope my enthusiasm and passion for teaching and science comes through in each lesson.

Outside of school, I like exploring Arizona with my girls. There are so many great parks and museums! I love hearing about students' favorite places to visit. One of our favorite places is Disneyland!

    My family:
I have 2 amazing daughters, Kira and Kaely. We also have 2 crazy dogs named Max and Mia.

    Interesting Facts:
I used to be a high school athletic trainer.
I was voted class clown my senior year of high school.

    My Education and Professional Background

I graduated from Syracuse University in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science. In 2006, I received my Master's degree in adolescent education: Biology from the University of Rochester. I am highly qualified in both Health and Biology. I started teaching in 2006 at an all-girls Catholic School in Rochester, NY. In 2014, my family relocated to Arizona and I started teaching Biology at Chandler High School as well as many courses at Chandler Online Academy.

    • BS in Health and Exercise Science from Syracuse University
    • MS in Adolescent Education (Science) from University of Rochester

    My Educational Philosophy

My goal for each of my students is that they become a life-long learner with the critical thinking skills it takes to be successful in the 21st century. My promise is that I will treat all of my students fairly and with respect. Our classroom will be a safe environment where students are able to make mistakes and learn from them. I hope that by the end of the year, my students have an appreciation for science (and maybe even love it!). I look forward to watching my students grow throughout their time in high school.

The Choice is Yours! Why Choose Chandler High?

I love teaching at Chandler High School! My favorite part of being a Chandler Wolf is feeling like I'm part of a big family. There are so many rich traditions here. The community is so diverse - everyone can find a home here at Chandler High.
