About
Davis...
Welcome, I'm happy to be part of the Chandler High School Science Department teaching AP/IB Environmental science and Investigative Science. I am passionate about scientific literacy and the interaction of humans with the natural world. I believe that for people and policy makers to be informed they need to know about the world they live in and science gives us the tools to investigate and understand our surroundings.
My Education and Professional Background
I earned a dual major undergraduate degree in Marine Science & Biology from the University of Tampa. Later after moving back to Arizona I Earned my Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix.
My Educational Philosophy
My educational philosophy is built on the idea that science is not just a subject but a way of thinking critically. I want to encourage my students to understand the process of making observations and investigating answers to questions. I feel that students should be given the chance to find answers for themselves, and learning this process will encourage a lifelong pursuit of knowledge.
