About
Klein...
My name is Marchelle Klein and I am excited to be a member of Chandler High. I am looking forward to teaching algebra and strategies this school year. I have been a part of Chandler Unified School District for a quite some time both professionally and personally. My husband is a physical education teacher at two of the District's elementary schools and my children have graduated from Chandler schools.
My Education and Professional Background
I completed my undergraduate studies in Sociology and post-graduate coursework in special and regular education at Arizona State University. My graduate coursework in Educational Psychology was completed through Northern Arizona University. I have been a teacher for over 20 years and have taught both regular and special education from pre-school to 12th grade. My experiences in teaching have taken me from teaching homeless children in Phoenix to students residing in Del Mar, California. I have been employed with Chandler Unified School district for 18 years. I have worked with students and their parents at Weinberg and Knox Elementary as well as Bogle and Santan Junior High.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that each student has their very own strengths and needs. Strengths should be celebrated and used as a tool to assist with challenging situations. With a positive attitude, perseverance and self-advocacy skills students can attain their goals and overcome adversity in both the classroom and life.
