My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Illinois State University where I majored in Education. I also received a master's degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. I started my career teaching on the island of Kauai in 1998, which is where I met my husband.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that each student is unique and capable of success; therefore, I have high expectations. I also believe that it is my responsibility to create a caring environment, free from distractions, to help my students grow academically and feel comfortable sharing ideas. It is important that students are self-motivated so they can achieve success in the classroom. As a teacher, I hope to inspire students to become lifelong learners.
