A little about me...
After graduating from Greenway High School in the northwest valley of Phoenix, I moved to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University. In 1996 I earned my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a minor in Health Education.
I started my teaching career at Willis Junior High School. I taught dance and coached the cheer and dance team for four years. I helped the Willis "Heatwave" dance team earn a state championship in 1998, 1999, and 2000. While teaching at Willis, I continued my education and finished my master's degree in 2000 in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction.
In 2000 I transferred to Chandler High School. I taught beginning and intermediate dance for six years. Since 2008, I have been teaching Physical Education and Comprehensive Health. I have been teaching AVID since 2014. I now proudly serve at the AVID Site Coordinator for Chandler High School.
I was Chandler's head varsity spiritline coach for nine years, helping the team achieve two consecutive state championships in 2008 and 2009.
I live in Gilbert, Arizona with my husband, Scott, and my two sons, Shane and Cody.
I consider myself very lucky to be teaching at Chandler High School. I love the culture of acceptance and community at Chandler High School. It is truly a wonderful place to be.My Education and Professional Background
