Welcome to CHS! This will be another exciting year of U.S. Government and Honors World History.
My Education and Professional Background
I began teaching at CHS in January 2013. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from ASU in December 2012. My degree is in Secondary Education/History (Summa Cum Laude). I earned my Master’s degree in History from ASU in December 2018. I am certified by the State of Arizona to teach U.S. Government, World History, U.S. History, and Middle School Social Studies. I am certified by Chandler Gilbert Community College to teach dual enrollment World History. I am the Badminton head coach and also an assistant coach for Varsity softball, and I am a sponsor for the Model United Nations club and the hiking club. I was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona and graduated from Tempe High School. Before teaching and finishing college, I was a licensed barber for over 12 years. I recently moved to the east Mesa area. I have one daughter that attends high school in the east valley.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe ALL students have the ability to learn, it's a matter of finding the engine to drive them there. Respect is a two way street- you must give it to get it.
