• In 2015, the Arizona legislature passed the American Civics Act which requires students, beginning with the graduating class of 2017, to pass a civics test based on the United States Immigration and Naturalization civics questions. Students are required to score 60% or higher in order to graduate from high school or obtain a high school equivalency certificate. Chandler Unified School District tests students in 11th grade through the U.S. History classes.

11th grade students will be taking this exam through "School City" on the computers in November. 12th grade students that are new to Chandler High School and still need to pass the exam, will also take it in November.
