    Welcome!

    Hello! My name is Piper Lujan and I am your student’s 9th-grade World History teacher. I know this is your student’s first year of high school and I am so happy to be able to be their teacher. With that said, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from Colorado Christian University, where I played softball and earned a Bachelors degree in Secondary Ed. History. This will be my second year teaching and I am so excited to learn with your students. Since my own freshman year of high school, I have wanted to be a history teacher and I am so excited to finally be able to do just that in this class! When it comes to my activities outside the classroom, I enjoy doing outdoor activities as well as watching movies with my friends and family.     As an educator, I want children to constantly feel at home in a safe environment. It is my job as an educator to help students reach their highest potential. All students should feel encouraged to take risks and try new things. Every child should feel loved, valued and seen. At the end of each year, students should leave with new perspectives, new friends, and a positive outlook in everything they do.
