My name is Gina Meade, and this is my fifth year as part of the Hamilton High School family. 2018 marks my 27th year teaching, and despite my years of experience, I am always eager and anxious about the start of a new school year. Teaching is a lot like riding a roller coaster. It is simultaneously terrifying and thrilling!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from NAU, where I also completed my master's degree. I am passionate about teaching and learning and have a fondness for literature, really big dogs, baking and singing. I have three adult children, and one very devilish, not-so-enormous German shepherd terrier mix.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that learning should be an adventure and encourage students to stretch, grow and try new things. Participation and engagement are vital to learning. I strive to create a safe, structured environment that provides a balance of predictability and novelty, and do my best to inspire creativity and excellence.
