Welcome!

Herzlich Willkommen! Welcome to German class! You have made a very wise choice in selecting German for your foreign language. Knowledge of German language and culture can greatly enhance your future opportunities. In fact, German is the most widely spoken language in Europe and Germany is currently one of the top economies in the world.

My Education and Professional Background

Sally Simon received her BA in German language and culture from Colorado State University in 1985, where she was also inducted into Phi Kappa Phi honor society. She completed her Master's degree in German language and culture in 1991 at Arizona State University where she graduated with distinction and a member of Phi Beta Kappa, a graduate honor society. Currently she has over 20 years teaching experience and over 90 university credit hours invested state side and abroad in becoming proficient in her discipline.

My Educational Philosophy

I continually strive to make German a fun, rich and rewarding class that will broaden your cultural horizons. My goal is to show you how your knowledge of German can open up so many doors that would not otherwise be open. My hope is that you can pair your knowledge of German language and culture to enhance your future career opportunities. Finally, I hope you will be inspired to travel to a German speaking country to experience the German language and culture first-hand. TUTORING: Monday and Friday after school; by appointment
