Hello and thank you for visiting this page. The most efficient way to contact me is via my school email. By all means, please write with questions!
My Education and Professional Background
Originally from South Carolina, I graduated with a BS in physics from the University of South Carolina and commissioned as a nuclear-trained submarine naval officer (aka a "Navy Nuke"). Upon separating from the Navy I spent time as a process engineer and production manager in Fortune 500 companies before deciding that teaching was my true calling. After earning a Master's degree from ASU I entered the teaching field. I've taught all levels of students in math and physics (from "at-risk" youth to calculus-based physics students) at Mesquite High School and Corona del Sol High School before settling here at Hamilton.
My Educational Philosophy
My time in service, in corporate America, and during marathons during other physical activities has convinced me that we are all capable of far more than we tell ourselves. With that in mind I strive to challenge students academically to stretch themselves, to challenge themselves to do things they currently do not think they can do. They discover they are able to do far more than they thought they could!
