About
Reinert...
Hello! I am very excited to be teaching at Hamilton High School. I can't wait to get to know my new students throughout this school year. I grew up in Nebraska but have lived in the Phoenix area since 1993. My husband and I have two sons, and we are all quite active. I am also a triathlete who actively competes in all of the triathlon distances.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a Reading endorsement. I taught reading and English for four years in the Mesa Unified School District and then began teaching language arts at Bogle Junior High School in 2001. In 2008, I earned my Special Education degree for K-12.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe every student is different, and each student is made up of qualities unique to himself or herself. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and I am passionate about tapping into and focusing on individual strengths. I believe that it is my job to provide a safe learning environment where children are free to take risks, and it is okay to make mistakes. Making mistakes is how people learn. I try to teach perseverance and grit throughout the challenges of learning, and I encourage my students through positive discipline and engaging lessons. I require all of my students to try, and I expect them to try their best.
