My Education and Professional Background
I received my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University with an emphasis in Secondary Education and a minor in Criminal Justice. I later pursued a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University with an emphasis in Linguistics. While at Hamilton, I coached volleyball, softball, and track. I also coached track/sprints at Scottsdale Community College. I have a true passion for teaching.
My Educational Philosophy
For myself, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about education. In our competitive society, it is important for students to not only receive a solid education but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual learning styles as well as their ambitions.
