About
Hogan...
I am excited and honored to begin another school year. I am committed to help each student set and reach attainable goals, work harder and take our school and student achievement to the next level of “GREATNESS”. I am dedicated to a student-centered program that promotes academic excellence. I will support ALL students to ensure they reach their fullest academic potential. To ALL of my students, “Dare to Dream.”
My Education and Professional Background
I received my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University with an emphasis in Secondary Education and a minor in Criminal Justice. I later pursued a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University with an emphasis in Linguistics. While at Hamilton I have coached volleyball, softball and track. I also coached track/sprints at Scottsdale Community College. I have a true passion for teaching.
My Educational Philosophy
For myself, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about education. In our competitive society it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual learning styles as well as their ambitions.
