Class Structure/Grading Policy:
Each course will address the IEP goals of students. Students need to participate in all class work/projects and discussions. Students will receive Paraprofessional support (instructional aides) and possibly help of Peer Facilitators (student aides).
80% classwork and 20% final make up students’ grade, with 60% as a passing grade. Students are welcome to contact me for additional help/tutoring.

Before and after school (7-7:20AM or 2:15-3:00 PM) and by appointment. All emails and phone calls will be returned within 24 hours. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the front desk (480-883-5000).
Students will need to have pencils and paper for some classwork and homework.
Classwork & Homework:
Virtual learning will consist of a mix of synchronous and asynchronous instruction. Students will have opportunities to work on assignments as both classwork and homework. Excessive amount of missing assignments/homework will result in parent notification. Please let me know of any specific needs regarding your student’s class assignments and homework.
No eating or chewing gum during live sessions.
Students must turn off all technology during live sessions. Calculators (Essential Math 4) can be used for independent work.
Virtual Attendance Statement:
Attendance is based on engagement. If a student is not present for synchronous instruction and does not complete the asynchronous/alternative assignment for the daily class meeting, then the student is considered absent. Teachers will contact attendance clerks once a student is determined to be absent.
Expected Student Conduct:
- Be on time to class for synchronous learning (live sessions).
- Come prepared to class.
- Be respectful to the teacher, paraprofessional, and each other in class.
- Use appropriate language and follow teacher directions.
- Do not leave the class (live sessions) without permission.
