Class Structure/Grading Policy:
Students need to participate in all class work/projects and discussions. Students will receive Paraprofessional support (instructional aides) and possibly help of Peer Facilitators (student aides). 80% classwork and 20% final make up students’ grade, with 60% as a passing grade. Students are welcome to contact me for additional help/tutoring.
Infinite Campus (Grade check): https://campus.cusd80.com/campus/portal/chandler.jsp
Homework assignments mostly consist of students finishing incomplete classwork. Students can make up work for credit from excused absences. Excessive number of missing assignments will result in parent notification. Please let me know of any specific needs regarding your student’s class assignments and homework.
Office Hours:
Before and after school (7-7:20AM or 2:15-3:00 PM) and by appointment. All emails and phone calls will be returned within 24 hours. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the front office (480-883-5000).
Materials Needed:
Students will need to have pencils daily. Requests for items for special projects (e.g., a science or cooking project) are made on an as needed basis.
Food policy:
Only water is allowed in the classroom during instruction. Specific dietary/medical need for snacks/drinks can be discussed with the instructor.
Bathroom policy:
Students may use the bathroom with a pass only. Excessive use of bathroom or time spent in the bathroom will result in parent contact. (This does not include any heath needs).
Use of technology/cell phones:
Students must turn off all technology and it must be put away during instruction, unless specifically given permission for use. Calculators can be used for independent work. Excessive use of cell phones/headphones during instruction without permission may result in having the technology taken away and turned into security and/or administrator.
Attendance & Tardiness:
Students are held to the district approved guidelines for excessive tardiness and absences. Students who miss more than 10 days of school during a semester may be dropped from school. Students consistently late to class may result in notification to parent and lunch/after school detention.
Expected Student Conduct:
- Be on time to class.
- Come prepared to class.
- Be respectful to the teacher, paraprofessional, and each other in class.
- Use appropriate language and follow teacher directions.
- Do not leave the class without permission.

All individuals have a right to an educational environment free from bias, prejudice and bigotry. As members of the Hamilton High School educational community, students are expected to refrain from participating in acts of harassment that are designed to demean another student’s race, gender, ethnicity, religious preference, disability or sexual orientation.
I understand the classroom policy and agree with them.
