    LOCATION FIELD 10

     CASTEEL JUNIOR HIGH SOCCER TRYOUTS BEGIN JANUARY 8th-10th from 2:30-4:00PM AT FIELD 10

    • PLAYERS MUST HAVE ALL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS PROCESSED BEFORE TRYOUTS. 

    • GO TO registermyathlete.com  TO BEGIN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.

    • This is a closed tryout (no parents will be allowed to watch or evaluate).

    • Players may wear Casteel Soccer Gear or athletic gear(ABSOLUTLEY NO CLUB GEAR).

    • Bring water, shin guards, and soccer cleats.

    • Tryouts will run from January 8th-10th (3 tryout days 2:30-4:00).

    • Each player will receive a player tryout number.

    • Players who make or do not make the team will be notified online. Rosters will be posted on the Casteel Men’s Soccer Website.

    • Go to https://www.cusd80.com/Domain/6721 for tryout results. Results will be posted by 8:00PM November 3rd.

    Coaches Role During Tryouts

    • 2 coaches will be evaluating.

    • Be organized, professional, and start on time.

    • Rotate between groups.                                                                                                             

    • Be fair and evaluate all players.

    • Work with other evaluators and listen.

    Evaluation Process

    • Players will be evaluated on the following areas (1-5 point scale).                        

    Dribbling/ball control

    Defending 1v1 tackling

    Passing/weighted ball/accuracy                                                                                              

    Receiving/First Touch

    Striking/Power

    Shooting/Finishing

    Fitness

    Strength and Endurance

    Tactical (playing under pressure)

    Speed

    Work rate

    Character
