About Mrs. Amy Dendinger...
Position: College Algebra
Team/Department: Special Education
Welcome to Mrs. Dendinger’s (aka Ms. D’s) page! This will be my 6 year teaching at Casteel High School. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me hanging out with my hubby, two kids, and our dog, Zoey. I love to travel, go camping, fishing, soccer and ice cream!
My Education and Professional Background
I’m practically an Arizona native, having moved from San Francisco, CA when I was 2. I graduated from Dobson High School in Mesa in 1994 and received my BS of Fine Arts in 1998 from RMCAD. After a career of 17 years in graphic design, I returned to school in 2017 to obtain my teaching certificate through Rio Salado’s Teacher in Residence program. Pursuing a career in education has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe every student is unique, has the ability to learn at their own pace and by preparing each student socially, emotionally, and academically, they will be ready for a productive life.
