• Volunteer Opportunities

    Make a difference in your community!  Volunteering not only enhances our community, it also gives you an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and build your college application.

      


    Saving One Life Animal Rescue is looking for student volunteers to help in the adoption center.  Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of two 2 hour shirfts per month.  Hours are available Mon-Sat between 9am-9pm and Sundays between 9am-6pm.  If interested, please email Debbie Johnson.


    The City of Chandler provides opportunities for those interested to enhance services provided by the City to the community, to learn new skills, and to use their talents while helping others.  

    Desert Botanical Garden has openings for those in middle and high school who would like to volunteer at the Butterfly Pavilion this fall (Oct. 6-Nov 25).  For more information and volunteer applications, contact Kristen Countryman

    Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) strives to eliminate starvation in children throughout the world by helping to instill compassion in people to hear and respond to the cries of those in need.  Volunteers hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children, and we send them to partners around the world where they're used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty. 

    HandsOn Greater Phoenix is a non-profit organization committed to building strong communities by advancing volunteerism and civic engagement in the Valley. Through partnerships with more than 300 community service organizations and area businesses, HandsOn Greater Phoenix provides year-round hands-on service projects and leadership and issue education opportunities for busy people. 

    House of Refuge is a faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) that provides supportive services and transitional housing to homeless families. House of Refuge is a work program with case management services, employment support and transitional housing.

    Our volunteer program significantly impacts our ability to serve homeless families in our community. We continually have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. We welcome both regular and one-time volunteers, individuals, and groups, to share your talents and skills. Below you will find a synopsis for each of our programs, each of which is supported by our volunteers and events.
