     Here are today’s announcements for Tuesday January 21, 2020:

    • Attention Seniors planning to attend UofA in the fall!!!!!!  There will be a “Next Steps” visit in the Career Center on TODAY during conference time—this meeting is to ensure you have completed all the necessary steps to attend UofA.

    • Attention Seniors planning to attend ASU in the fall!!!!  There will be a “Next Steps” visit in the Career Center on Wednesday the 22nd during conference time—this meeting is to ensure you have completed all the necessary steps to attend ASU.

    • John Casablancas Modeling Agency will be here for a Lunch Visit on Wednesday the 22nd, if you’re interested in a modeling/acting career be sure to stop by their table!

    • Hastings College will be giving a presentation in the Career Center on Thursday the 23 during conference time.  If you’re interested, please sign up and get a pass.

    • Grades 8-11 ... Interested in joining student council next year?  Stop by Mrs. Fredrickson's class room A54 to pick up an application. Deadline to turn in application is Feb 21st.

    • Casteel Lady Lady Colt wrestlers traveled to Winslow this weekend and competed at the always tough Doc Wright wrestling tournament. Isabelle Munoz and Camry Carter won first place and Mackenzie Matturro won fourth place. Great job wrestlers!

    • “Congratulations to everyone that competed last week at the District 5 DECA competition at ASU! Special congratulations to the following students for medaling in their events: Alaina Meyers, Maddy Perry, Francis Menez, Mia Nielsen, Maya Dyster, Elena Frey, Isabel Reyes, Nathan Anderson, Tayler Boultinghouse, Kaden Armer, Rykr Templeton, Dom Mendoza, Ella Hall, Ethan Hammontree, and Payton Drees. Good luck to those moving on to compete at state next month!”

    • “Reylynn’s drive is underway. Mr. Powers in first place! Does your fourth hour want to win the pizza party? Bring in donations of Kleenex and hand sanitizer to your fourth hour or to Ms. Mac in A9. “ 

    • Last week, the Casteel Academic Decathlon team took on several of the top teams in the state at the William's Field Invitational.  In our final competition before Regionals, Joseph Sherwood led the team with gold medals in Math and Art.  Brendan Smith took Gold in Social Science and Economics.  Congratulations to the whole team for their strong performance and good luck at Regionals in 2 weeks.

    • Congrats to the Casteel Varsity wrestling team as they defeated McClintock 78-3 last night raising their record to 20-0, JV won 66-0 raising their record to 12-0, freshman won 66-6 raising their record to 12-0 also. Next chance to catch the Colts at home will be Jan 29 vs Millennium and Camelback.

    Here are today’s announcements for Thursday January 16, 2020:

    • Colts if you received an invitation to yearbook yesterday there is a correction.  You are invited to join them at lunch on THIS Friday the 17th.  Again the invitation should read the 17th NOT the 30th.

    • Do you like Pizza? Bring packages of Kleenex, hand sanitizer, wipes or soap to your 4th hour class or Mrs. Mac in A9 for Reylynn. The class that collects the most will win a pizza party!

    • Hey Casteel Students!  BIG NEWS!!!!!!! Casteel Cheer will be pre-selling a one of a kind Casteel statefortyeight shirt this week (Jan 13-17) during all lunches! 
    There will be a table set up outside of the Cafeteria for the rest of the week.  
    Shirts are $25 each and can be paid through Venmo, Cash, or Check!
    Don’t miss out on this super cool shirt AND support your school and a local business! Go Colts!

    • Students in grades 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th.  Don’t forget to enter your course selections for next year into Infinite Campus prior to your meeting with your counselor next week.  If you need assistance, step-by-step instructions can be found in the registration presentation under the registration tab on the Casteel website.

    You can access your scores online or if you would like a hard copy of your scores, you can pick them up.
