     Here are today’s announcements for Tuesday, May 21ST , 2019:

    • Attention all current 7th grade and 8th grade girls interested in being a part of the softball program next year. We will be having a summer camp June 10-13 to work on skills and prepare for next season. Please see Coach Blakesley in Lab 3 for more information.

    • Student Drivers in the blue lot!!!  we know we are almost finished but you still need use the Mandarin entrance off of Riggs to get to the parking lot!

    • Yearbook distribution was a success! However, we still have 400 pre-ordered yearbooks that need to be picked up. If you have not picked up your book, please do so ASAP! You can pick them up in B1 before or after school this week only. Must have a photo ID.
    Yearbooks are also on sale in the bookstore today! First come first served.

    • A huge colt congratulations to our brilliant girls’ soccer teams yesterday afternoon who brought home both the 7th and 8th grade EVC championships. 7th grade beat Santan 2-0 in regulation time. Compliments to Coaches Jason and Tom for a superb unbeaten and dominant season. Congrats also to Coach Mitchell and Coach Eric on a hard fought and rewarding campaign as their 8th grade team went all the way in the final in a tie with the game ending in a tense penalty shoot-out. We held our nerve as our girls truly played like warrior poets and secured the crown. Sooooo proud of all you 7th and 8th grade girls! #We really were in that number

    • NHS students. Remember that your by-laws sheet is due to Mrs Grace by Friday May 24.

    • ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE BACK ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 22ND   and the library will be closed before and after school starting next Wednesday.
    THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED FOR ALL LUNCHES AND CONFERENCES BEGINNING NEXT WEEK.   YOU MAY COME IN TO RETURN BOOKS ONLY.
    • Senior Sunset tonight 6:30pm to 8:00pm bring money for food truck Stugo providing dessert!

     Here are today’s announcements for Monday, May 20th, 2019:

    Big congratulations to Jr. high girls/boys track for winning the EVC's  This is a trifecta yup 3 times in a row! Way to go Colts & Coaches Droegg, Drinkwater & Ross

    • Over the weekend, Casteel Academic Pentathlon competed at Nationals in Nashville Tennessee.  The team finished 5th overall.
    Ajay Maslanka won bronze in math, placed 4th in science, and also 9th overall in Honors. 
    Tiara Furukawa finished 4th in social science and 8th overall in Scholastic division. 
    Kendall Smith finished 4th in literature and 8th overall in varsity division. 
    Ernie Clark was 4th in science and math. 
    Steven Donaldson finished 4th in science.
    Other team members include Madelyn Riegel, Aiden Cruey, Cannon Schaub, and Jonah Gwilliam.  The team earned a total of 21 top 10 finishes. They represented Casteel well and made a big impression in our rookie year.

    • Casteel is starting a new team - mountain biking!  We will compete against other schools and ride out on the trails and train together.  You will learn how to take care of your bike and some technical riding skills, as well as how to stay safe out on the trails.  Great opportunity to learn a LIFETIME sport and compete through JH and HS.  Informational meeting to meet coaches and learn more on Monday May 20th after school.  Make plans now to attend.  Any questions - come and find out everything today (Monday the 20th) after school.  Parents are welcome to attend (and ride) - text and make plans to attend TODAY AFTER SCHOOL

     Here are today’s announcements for Friday, May 17, 2019:


    • 8th graders the big formal dance is TONIGHT, May 17 from 7-9pm.  Only Casteel 8th graders can attend and you MUST have your Casteel ID to be admitted.  Dress up but leave your high heels at home - only flat shoes and wedges will be allowed in the gym, all other high heels will need to be dropped off in the wrestling room.  Tickets are on sale in the bookstore,  no tickets will be sold at the door.  It's going to be a BIG NIGHT, don't miss it!!! Tickets are $8 w/activity card &10 w/o activity card.

    • Good luck to our 7th and 8th grade lady colts who will both be competing for their respective EVC soccer championship this coming Monday. Both games will be played here on home turf so make sure to get out and support these dedicated and talented young athletes as they strive to make Casteel history. We are proud of you girls, now go out there and get the ‘dub!
