    Welcome to Casteel High School and the new school year. I am excited to help my students explore economics as understanding economics helps us to better understand the world and make informed decisions.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have a Bachelor's in Economics from Arizona State University and a Master's in Education from Northern Arizona University. This is my 17th year teaching in CUSD following a 15-year career as a salesperson in the family business.

    My Educational Philosophy

    The purpose of education is not only to teach students concepts and facts, but it is also to teach them to research and question allowing them to become lifelong learners. I believe my job is to facilitate a classroom full of unique and brilliant minds and ignite a passion for knowledge and a desire to be the best version of themselves.
