Arizona Earn to Learn (AZEL)
A collaboration of the Arizona Board of Regents, the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University to help limited-income Arizonans to save for college.
The target audience for AZEL is future college students and their families with annual incomes less than 200% above the federal poverty level (FPL). AZEL will provide matched-savings incentives through special savings accounts, known as Individual Development Accounts (IDAs), for students who wish to pursue postsecondary education. Participants who successfully complete the IDA savings program requirements will receive an 8 to 1 match on their savings (save $500, receive $4,000 match) for tuition costs at AU, ASU or NAU. The maximum match that a student can receive through the program is $4,000. AZEL provides students and families with financial education, financial coaching, and assistance in setting up and sticking with a matched-savings, IDA account that can be used to help pay for college. |

I'm First (First Generation Student Information)
Are you a first generation student? Do you know what that means? It basically means that your parents did not attend college and receive a degree. If they attended college, but did not complete a bachelors degree, you would be considered a first generation student. There are certain scholarships directly offered for ONLY first generation students. Make sure you look at the scholarship section of this website and read the information portion - it will be listed there.

WUE/WICHE Program
Students who are residents of WICHE states are eligible to request a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state. The WUE reduced tuition rate is not automatically awarded to all eligible candidates. Many institutions limit the number of new WUE awards each academic year, so apply early! WICHE members include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the U.S. Pacific territories and freely associated states.
