  • Welcome to American Literature!

Students in American Literature and Composition will analyze United States literature as it reflects social perspective and historical significance by continuing to use language for expressive, expository, argumentative, and literary purposes. The emphasis in American Literature is critical analysis of texts through reading, writing, speaking, listening, and using media.

We have a highly engaging year ready for you! From podcasting to reading your own independent novel in lit circles to writing open letters as a form of protest, it will be a year of learning, reviewing and collaborating.
