    Welcome to orchestra at Casteel High School! There are four orchestras at Casteel High School that range in skill level creating a space for any player regardless of playing ability.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I obtained a bachelor's degree in music from Central Michigan University studying string bass and piano. I also have a master's degree from Arizona State University in Musicology. After my master's degree in 2019, I started teaching orchestra at the secondary level. I have played in several different community and professional orchestra groups and have been teaching strings both privately and in groups since 2016.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that there is a place for every student in orchestra. My main goal is to help students grow both musically and personally, and to make orchestra class a fun and safe space for students.
